Every morning when we stand in front of the mirror, we make a choice about what to wear. Some days it’s our favorite jeans and boots; other days it’s a dress that gives us confidence for the day ahead. But what if we thought about getting dressed not just as a fashion choice but as a faith choice?
Just like we pick out our outfits, God invites us to “put on the full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11). It’s His reminder that we’re not walking out into the world unprepared; we’re walking out covered, protected, and beautifully equipped for whatever comes our way.
At Christy’s Boutique, I’ve always believed that fashion can be more than just clothes. It’s a reflection of how we feel inside….strong, loved, and purposeful. When we abide in Him, we’re clothing our hearts in His peace and confidence. That’s true style from the inside out!
So, as you get dressed this week, take a moment to think about what each piece could represent:
- Your favorite jeans: a reminder to stand firm in truth.
- Your boots: walk in peace wherever you go.
- Your jewelry or accessories: carry faith close to your heart.
- Your jacket: wrap yourself in righteousness and grace.
It’s not about perfection, it’s about preparation. God doesn’t ask us to be flawless; He asks us to show up in faith, ready to shine His light.
Maybe today, that means slipping on your “belt of truth” and holding your head high. Or maybe it’s just putting on a smile that says, “I belong to Jesus.” Whatever it looks like, remember you are beautifully armored and purposefully dressed for every season of life.
